Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge
Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, 20 November 2026 to 10 January 2027: hours, what is lit, the ticket, evening tours and the park's seasonal hours (Oct 2026).
Canyon Lights is the park’s winter light display: from 20 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 (closed 25 December), the Suspension Bridge, the Cliffwalk and the Treetops Adventure are lit after dark, and it is included with an ordinary day ticket. No separate event ticket is needed. Visits are booked in one-hour arrival windows; the park is open from 11 am to 9 pm, the last entry is at 9 pm, and guests may stay an hour past closing. The park’s ticket is from US$56 a person on GetYourGuide (checked October 2026); pick an entry time after dusk.

What is lit
The park describes millions of twinkling lights across the big bridge, the Cliffwalk on the granite cliff and the Treetops Adventure in the Douglas-firs; its own photographs show gold on the trees and blue on the bridges. Entry is from 11 am, so you can see the river by daylight and stay on after dark.
The park’s event page also lists:
- WILDLIGHT, a 3D wildlife projection deep in the rainforest, with bears, coyotes and owls.
- A North Pole photo spot at The Trading Post, with Santa’s sleigh and reindeer.
- Winter Rainforest Explorers, a children’s trail with the park’s characters, ornaments at the Treetops treehouse and stickers to collect.
- Holiday food and drink at The Cliff House Restaurant & Bar, hot chocolate and live festive music.

When to go
Dusk in Vancouver in December comes in the late afternoon, so an arrival window from about 5 pm gives you the full display. During the winter event, visits are booked in one-hour arrival windows, the park says availability is limited at peak event times, and it advises booking early, so book the evening you want ahead. BC annual passholders have a limited number of reservations per hour at peak times and must reserve online. The park runs rain or shine; bring a waterproof layer and shoes with grip for wet boardwalks.
An evening tour instead
If you would rather not take the shuttle in the dark, two tours drive you there for the lights:
Capilano Park Ticket
Canyon Lights is included; the free shuttle runs from Canada Place.
Check times →Canyon Lights by Car
Happy Hour: entry to the park and a car through Stanley Park and over the Lions Gate Bridge, private or small group.
See the car tour →Prices, ratings and review counts from GetYourGuide, checked October 2026; operators use seasonal pricing, so treat them as the shape of the market, not a quote.
Westcoast Sightseeing also runs a City Highlights and Capilano Holiday Lights tour (US$142, 5 hours, checked October 2026): downtown, Stanley Park’s totem poles and Granville Island Market, then the park’s festive lights, with admission and hotel pickup included.

The same evening on Grouse Mountain
Up the road, Grouse Mountain’s Peak of Christmas runs from 20 November to 24 December 2026, with a Light Walk around Blue Grouse Lake, included with mountain admission. Grouse Mountain and Capilano covers the ticket and the bus between the two.
For BC residents
The park sells its BC Residents Annual Pass for the price of a single visit, and it includes Canyon Lights, so a December visit also covers the summer. Passholders must reserve their time online before every visit. The tickets guide explains the pass.
The winter event’s dates, hours, arrival windows, last entry, activities, booking advice, passholder reservations, closing day and display, and that the day ticket covers it, are from capbridge.com’s event, seasonal events and tickets and hours pages; the other seasonal hours and Canyon Frights from the tickets and hours page; the annual pass from the park’s BC Residents Annual Pass page; Peak of Christmas from grousemountain.com. The GetYourGuide prices, ratings and inclusions are from the listings, read in US dollars on 30 October 2026. All read in October 2026.
