The Cliffwalk, Treetops Adventure and the Bridge
What the Capilano ticket covers: the bridge 70 m above the river, the Cliffwalk on the canyon wall, Treetops Adventure, Kia'palano, and the order to see them (Oct 2026).
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is three high walks on one ticket: the Suspension Bridge, 137 m long and 70 m above the Capilano River; Treetops Adventure, seven small bridges between old Douglas-firs on the far side; and the Cliffwalk, a walkway bolted to the granite canyon wall. All three, with Kia’palano and the Story Centre, are on the park’s day ticket, from US$56 a person on GetYourGuide (checked October 2026). Allow two to three hours, as the park suggests.

The Suspension Bridge
The bridge is the one everybody comes for: 137 m (450 ft) across and 70 m (230 ft) above the river, and the park says it can hold the weight of 96 full-grown elephants. It sways and bounces as people walk, more when it is busy. The first bridge went up in 1889, when George Grant Mackay strung hemp rope and cedar planks across the canyon; wire cables replaced the rope in 1903, and the present bridge was rebuilt in 1956 in five days, with 13 tons of concrete anchoring each end. You cross it twice, there and back, because the Treetops are on the far side.
Treetops Adventure
On the west side of the canyon, seven suspension bridges link eight Douglas-firs about 250 years old, more than 33 m (110 ft) above the forest floor. It opened in 2004. The bridges are short and gentle after the big one, and the view is into the canopy rather than down a canyon. The park map also shows Nature’s Edge, a boardwalk through the rainforest.
The Cliffwalk
Back on the entrance side, the Cliffwalk opened in 2011: 213 m (700 ft) of narrow walkways and stairs cantilevered from the granite cliff, with grated floors, up to about 90 m (30 storeys) above the canyon. Here you look straight down through the floor.

Kia’palano, the Story Centre and the rest
- Kia’palano. The park’s cultural centre about the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, with poles by the carvers Wayne Carlick and James Lewis.
- The Story Centre. The park’s history, from Mackay’s rope bridge on, in about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Raptors Ridge. Bird of prey talks in the warmer months; the park’s pages give the season as late May, or April, to September, so check on the day.
- Living Forest. Another stop on the park map, in the rainforest.
- Food. The Cliff House restaurant is inside the gates; Logger’s Grill, The Cabin and Beary Waffles are among the snack stops. Small snacks are fine, full picnics are not.

An order that works
Cross the bridge first, while you are fresh and before the midday crowd thickens on it. Walk the Treetops on the far side, cross back, then do the Cliffwalk last; Kia’palano and the Story Centre are near the entrance, so they fit at either end. In wet weather, all of it stays open: the park runs rain or shine.
Afraid of heights?
The bridge is the hardest part for most: it moves, and you see the river through the gaps. Walk in the centre, hold both cables and look at the far end rather than down. If you cannot face it, the Cliffwalk is on the near side, so you can still see the canyon without crossing; the Treetops, though, are only reached over the bridge. Children 5 and under go free, and strollers stay at the stroller parking.
Access
The park says the Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure and the Cliffwalk are not wheelchair accessible. Visitors in wheelchairs get free admission to the parts they can reach. Leashed dogs are welcome.
The bridge’s length, height, load and history, the Cliffwalk’s length, height and date, the Treetops’ bridges, trees, height and date, Kia’palano, the Story Centre, Raptors Ridge’s season, the restaurants, food rules, accessibility, strollers, dogs and the time visitors spend are from capbridge.com (the suspension bridge, Cliffwalk, Treetops Adventure, park attractions, Kia’palano, our story, map, FAQ and tickets pages). The GetYourGuide price is from the listing, read in US dollars on 30 October 2026. All read in October 2026.
